WITC uses Blackboard for our online classes. If you have previously taken a WITC class using Blackboard, please go to www.witc.edu and click “Blackboard” (located in the upper right corner). You will then see the Blackboard login screen. Your Username is always your WITC student ID.
Your default password for Blackboard is the first two letters of your first name + the first two letters of your last name + the last four digits of your social security number (all lowercase letters). If you have logged in to a computer at a WITC location and changed your network password, that same password will now be your Blackboard password.
If you encounter problems with your username and password, contact the WITC help desk as instructed here: www.witc.edu/Helpdesk. If you would like more information on your course/program software specifications, click here.
Please do not expect your class(es) to be available for access until the official start date.
A complete orientation to online learning is available at www.witc.edu/online. Click on “Online Orientation” to begin. Before you begin your online class, access the site for a valuable introduction to the online course method and the Blackboard software you’ll be using.
The computer hardware, software, and the Internet connection that is used for accessing coursework are the primary means of participating in online courses and therefore are significant contributors to academic success in your online course and/or program at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College. It is essential that you own or have ready access to a computer that meets the minimum specifications. Click here for the details on these specifications.
All students in Blackboard classes will use their assigned WITC email address for communication to and from their instructors. To access your WITC email account, go to www.witc.edu/email.
If you encounter problems while taking your class, first contact your instructor. If you need additional technical assistance, contact your ETC Technician or use the information at www.witc.edu/Helpdesk to contact WITC’s help desk.
